YEP.... we won, and boy didn't we win in style :)
With dual pressure of another eco quiz, and spending 2 sleepless nights both for preparing the PPT and preparing our presentation... we both were quite jittery when we started explaining the concept; but as the tempo started building around... it was as smooth as RC
The Judges, were junta from IITs settled in BMC for almost 2 decades, here were zonal officers coming all the way to understand, comment and commend us on our solution to their perennial problems. One of the judges, had saved around 4.5 Crores just by one of his implementations (AMAZING!!!)
We really got drilled during the 10 min Q&A session, but the feedback we got was something out of the ordinary... and the best part was that after we offered our explanation, we were also commended in good helpings.
After the session, we rushed to attend the exams... and with hardly 3 mins left, we attempted to solve the 12 min paper.... Classic SP lifestyle ;)
LEARNINGS :-
1) Legal & Medical implications have to be considered.
2) Presentation matters, and so does extra-polated thinking (should have put in some more excel magic such as Risk analysis, et all)
3) Do proper ground-work, esp. when u know that u are going to be judged by maestros in the field (luckily we didn't get screwed on our fact base)
4) Don't present too many knowledge.... either u concentrate on ur USP, why waste time on stuff which the others are anyways going to repeat.
yours truly (last row: second from left), arvind(the tall guy next to me)
p.s: the micro-economics quiz got screwed majorly, and i scored around 4/10.. an abysmal low, but am not worried thanks to best 3/5 scenario... Deb sir rocks ;)
